If your Company would like to help raise money for two charities over Christmas at the same time as saving money on your utilities, then contact us! Every time we help a business save money on their utilities, we will make a donation to one of our two local charities, Alabare or Children’s Choice. Alabare work with vulnerable and homeless people in our community encouraging them to achieve their goals while Children’s Choice gives children in Salisbury the opportunity to take part in ordinary activities that would otherwise (because of financial reasons) be denied to them.

Check your notice period!

A number of clients have recently asked us to find the best deal for their gas and electricity usage. In many cases, we have contacted their encumbent supplier to discover that our client has failed to give the supplier the necessary notice period and so their contract has automatically rolled over for another term. Check your terms and conditions and if necessary contact your supplier to confirm the notice period for each of your utilities.

If you are going on holiday to Europe this summer but want to keep in touch with your business then a Tep dongle could save you money.

The Tep dongle can be used with any smartphone or table device and allows users to connect to the local mobile network. This means that instead of paying the high data roaming charges to connect to 3G network everytime you check your emails or browse the internet, you pay local charges which could make downloads free.

You can rent a Tep dongle for the country you are visiting from tepwireless.com or through Visit Britain. The device will cost £6.00 a day if you are away for 5 days or £4.50 a day for 10+ days plus a £5.50 recorded delivery charge. If however you will mainly be using your mobile for sending/receiving the occasional email, or for choosing a restaurant or where to go for a day out, then a better option might be to buy a data download “bolt-on” from your provider. Check with them for charges.
